The recipes we use have been passed down from generation to generation. Our sausages have a 70% meat content & we buy our meat from local farmers. A lot of effort goes into making all our sausages by hand & our team of highly trained butchers make sure that every sausage is delicious!

Our traditional Scottish Haggis is one of our biggest sellers! We use heart, liver, beef fat, onions, Scottish Steel cut oats, spices & nutmeg to create the taste of Scotland!

Our aim as The British Grocer has always been to provide a proper taste of home. 

We have the highest food safety license in Ontario with Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). 

We pass our bi-weekly health inspections with ease & food safety is our number one priority.

We have never had a single product recall since we started The British Grocer & we intend to keep it that way! 

We are one of the ONLY British stores with this license & there are currently less than 350 Freestanding Meat Plants in Ontario. One advantage to having this license is that we can make our Black Pudding with beef blood & our Haggis with Heart. The heart & Blood are high risk items and need to be handled properly, this license gives us that opportunity.

Our bacon is made in house & is cured for 14 days before we slice it. Its a traditional Wiltshire Cure Back Bacon with the tail on!
